Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral that has been widely used in various industries for its desirable properties. It consists of thin, fibrous crystals that are resistant to heat, fire, chemicals, and electricity, making it highly valuable for insulation and fireproofing purposes. Due to its exceptional heat resistance and durability, asbestos was commonly used in construction materials, including insulation, roofing, flooring, and cement products. It was also used in automotive parts, textiles, and even household items like toasters and hairdryers.

The safe management and removal of asbestos involves specialized procedures and trained professionals to minimize the release of fibers and ensure the protection of workers and the environment. Asbestos-containing materials should be handled carefully and disposed of in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.

Our team is certified through the Montana DEQ to test and identify ACM (Asbestos Containing Materials).

An asbestos survey includes:

  • A visual inspection of the suspect material to determine friability,
  • Bulk sampling of suspected ACM,
  • A detailed report with a material breakdown to identify ACM.
